The formula

How to calculate profit on Meesho

Meesho pays each order after taking its deductions out. Your profit is what’s left of that payment once your own costs are paid, and once you count the orders that come back.

  1. Start with the settlementWhat Meesho pays for the order, from your payment file: the sale price after shipping, return or RTO charges, penalties and ads.
  2. Take off your costsThe product’s cost and the packaging for that order.
  3. Count returns and RTOAn order that comes back earns nothing and still costs its return charge and packaging. Spread that over all your orders.
  4. Leave out TCS and TDSThey’re tax held back, which you can usually claim back in your GST and income tax returns, not a cost. Ask your CA.

Beyond the calculator

Why one quick sum isn’t your real Meesho profit

  • Return rates keep moving

Returns and RTO change with the product, the price and the season. One percentage typed into a calculator goes out of date within weeks.

  • Every order is charged differently

Shipping, penalties and return charges vary from order to order, so an average hides the products that quietly lose money.

  • Some money is still owed

Lost returns and wrong charges sit in your files as money Meesho may owe you. No calculator finds them; your payment files do.

How do I calculate profit on Meesho?
Take what Meesho pays you for an order, its settlement, and subtract your product cost and packaging. Then count the orders that come back: a return or RTO earns nothing and still costs its return charge and packaging. The calculator on this page does the sum, and EDAS does it for every order from your payment files.
Is this Meesho profit calculator free?
Yes. The calculator on this page is free and needs no sign-up. EDAS, which works out the real profit for every order from your Meesho payment files, starts at ₹149 a month per Meesho account. See pricing.
What is the settlement amount on Meesho?
It’s what Meesho actually pays you for an order, after its deductions such as shipping, return or RTO charges and penalties. You’ll find it for every order in the payment file you download from the Meesho Supplier Panel.
Does the calculator count returns and RTO?
Yes. Enter the share of orders that come back and the charge on each, and the calculator spreads that loss across all your orders. It also shows the return rate at which an order stops making money.
Are TCS and TDS a cost on Meesho?
Usually not. Meesho holds TCS and TDS back from your payments as tax, and you can normally claim them back in your GST and income tax returns, so they aren’t a loss like shipping or a return charge. Check with your CA for your own business.
Can EDAS show the profit on each product and SKU?
Yes. Enter each product’s cost once and match your Meesho SKUs to it, and EDAS shows profit and margin per order, per product and per brand. A product without a cost is flagged rather than counted, so a missing cost never makes a margin look better than it is.
Do I need to give EDAS my Meesho password?
No. EDAS never asks for your Meesho login. It works from the reports you download from the Meesho Supplier Panel yourself.
